Executive Jet Support announce the purchase of Formula 1 BAe 146-100 G-OFOA MSN

The former Formula 1 BAe 146-100 G-OFOA (MSN E1006) has been acquired by aircraft and component broker specialist Executive Jet Support for parting out. G-OFOA is one of the oldest extant BAe 146s, having initially been built for Dan-Air London as G-BKMN in 1983—indeed, she flew the very first BAe 146 service ever, on 27 May of that year. She flew for Dan-Air for almost a decade, being returned to BAe in 1992. She then flew for Malmo Aviation as SE-DRH for many years, who sub-leased her toCityJet as EI-COF for some time. In 1998, she was returned to BAe, who sold her to Formula 1 owner Bernie Ecclestone, who has used her since then in a VIP configuration. Efforts have been made to preserve G-OFOA and offers have been made by Executive Jet Support to donate her to various UK museums, with discussions ongoing. She was ferried from Formula 1’s base at Biggin Hill to Cranfield on 27 June. Disassembly will commence July 2017 following a decision on her final resting place.
